"..did you start to mean so much to me?" - Hyuuga Natsume.
LURVE Natsume and Mikan together! Haha, Finally, it's done. I've been addicted to Gakuen Alice lately! This is actually an old sketch but now I finally found the time to color it.
Mikan Sakura and Hyuuga Natsume in HIGH SCHOOL. I think I messed up with the uniforms though ( got the wrong references.. XD) I realized that it was too late ( and I was too lazy..) to change it.
Done in Photoshop 7 and experimented with stuff there. Still a newbie in photoshoopp. T__T
Oh yeah, I also have a fanfic to go with this. Gonna post it up at ff.net soon.
Ooh, it's awesome to see new art from you! x)
Sorry I'm so late in commenting, though. D:
Anyways, their poses look great, especially the girl's. I'd recommend looking at pictures of people laying on the grass next time, though, so that you can see how grass looks when there are people on it. Also, if you use the grass brush, make sure that at least one end of each blade of grass is "attached" to the ground--if you don't, it'll look like the grass is growing out of someone's sleeve, or head.

Aw, it's okay to be late.. I understand that you're busy!
Yeah, I didn't use any reference with the poses, which I regret. Hehehe. By the way, do you know how I can make it look more "attached" to the ground? Hahaha, I guess I'll just play around with the brush settings next time.

Hmm, to make them look more like they're on the grass, I'd suggest finding some references.
Comparing the pictures I found with yours, I'd say there are three major things you can do. The first is to make sure the grass is at the right angle--in the photos, the grass is either growing in every direction, and crisscrossing all over the place, or it's so short that you can't see individual blades of grass. The way you have it right now, the grass is all at the same angle, which is more normal for when you're looking at grass from a side view, not a top view.
Second, make sure your people are casting very distinct shadows on the grass, all the way around them, not just off to one side.
Third, make your characters' hair fall back away from their foreheads more, like this guy's bangs.
That's all I can think of; I hope it helps!
